The path towards Yoga of Tonny Chang started in childhood, when without knowing what he was doing, he kept trying to put his feet behind his head and experimenting the sight of the world upside down.
Years later, looking for a treatment for injuries caused by intense training of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, he found in Yoga the means of improving physical and emotional balance while working misalignments and injuries of his joints and small muscles.
He maintains a steady practice since then, learning from many teachers of various traditions, but basing his classes in the Teachings of Swami Satyananda Saraswati, his guru and spiritual guide.
An Ashtangi by heart, he seeks to balance the force that this practice provides with the lightness and clarity that the understanding of Vedic philosophy brings to the practitioner.
Holds the Great Tradition of T. Krishnamacharya transmitted by his student and friend Mark Whitwell, one of the last links of the modern times to the authentic Yoga Practice.
